Imagine
We Are Away
By Erin Fry
Close your eyes and imagine we are away
Away from the fear and the pain of today
In a far land where waters do flow free
And there’s a hill to sit for you and me
Where we can see beyond today
And nothing more need we say
We sit and talk but no sounds deplore
Your eyes clear through and open door
To some other place you seem to be
Not near not far still close to me
So hold my hand and tog\ether we fly
That we forget to remember to try
Close your eyes, hold my hand as we travel this land
The road is not smooth, but our voices will soothe
And together we’ll ride through weather and tide
The warmth of your arms and your breath on my cheek
Reminds me to squeeze my eyes tight, not to peep
That my dream and my hope will whisk me away
And the pain will not you see the light of your day
